“Perfect dinner” in East Friesland: Bodybuilder Michel traces his food
“I live the fitness lifestyle,” proudly announces Michel, host of day 3 of “The Perfect Dinner” in East Friesland. It wasn’t always like this: the 30-year-old geriatric nurse shows a photo of himself as a chubby teenager, not at all brooding. Growing up in the Ruhr area near Herne, he suffered from croup as a child, prompting his family to move to the north coast of Germany. Today Michel lives in Aurich, he is now the “dad” of a young daughter and a competitive bodybuilder.

Therefore, you know exactly about the connection between training, nutrition and model body. He meticulously keeps track of everything he eats. He makes up for frequent nightly escapades in the form of ice cream (“Ice cream is my life”) with exercise. The essence of all this knowledge goes to the Far East that afternoon, where he has not yet been due to his fear of flying, but at least he can greet him in northern Germany.

Two hold knives and forks upside down
Because Michel is not a (pure) consumer of protein shakes, but a connoisseur: “For me, food is the joy of living.” “They asked for fish, then they’ll get fish,” Michel says, commenting on the juicy, brilliant salmon fillets, which he marinates in teriyaki sauce as a main course and serves with cornflake-covered chicken and spicy noodles.
The starter comes in the form of a roll: “Do you eat it with sushi?” asks Wilhelmina (34), looking at the soy sauce in the small bowl. Hildtrud’s (52) greatest satisfaction stands in the way of her initiation into maki: “I love it like this,” cooed the avowed salmon fan over the wonderfully prepared fillet. When primary school teacher Carina (36) discovers that both she and the host are holding their knives and forks “upside down”, cohesion in the group is finally perfect, and Michel resorts to coconut ice cream with a mango salad and Kiwi. to finish the fabulous dinner at 9:00 p.m. satisfied with himself, with the world and above all with his “challenge”.
“As an athlete, I really like to set goals for myself and achieve them. Today was also time management.” The quiet Hiltrud was “sometimes too quick”, but she awarded 10 points, which the other two guests increased to a total of 25. Challenge met: This is currently number 1 for Michel.
