Many clubs in Braunschweig are also campaigning for the refugees. MTV is now offering free membership to people in Ukraine for a limited time. “We are deeply shocked by the situation in Ukraine. We cannot begin to imagine what this means for many people. But one thing is clear to us: we love them power of sport and use the union to help as much as we can,” says a press release from MTV CEO Jörg Diekmann.

According to him, the offer is initially until June 30 and affects all the club’s offers that no additional contribution be offered. These are, for example, all gym and parent-child offers. “But the wide range of fitness and relaxation options, senior sports, and individual ball and martial arts should also offer the opportunity to network and clear your head,” says Diekmann.

The counseling session will be held in Ukrainian.

Every Tuesday between 3:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., a consultation hour for participation in sports offers takes place for the first time on April 5: in the entrance area of ​​the MTV sports center, Güldenstraße 11. There, Ukrainians should find information in their native language about the offers of the respective clubs and the corresponding earning opportunities. “We are pleased to have one for this at short notice. native ukrainian who will be available as a contact person in the future and can offer uncomplicated help,” adds Jörg Diekmann.

Also the popular in the club. family sport (families can reserve the room for one hour two Saturdays a month) will be expanded and will now be held once a month for displaced families at the MTV sports center.
