SV Bausenhagen inspires with a wide range of fitness offers

Loud music resounds through Gymnasium 1 of the Fröndenberg Comprehensive School. Maren Krause and several women train in Zumba. This is one of many offers from SV Bausenhagen.

Maren Krause gives clear and brief instructions. She smiles all over her face as she shows the women in the sports hall of Comprehensive School Fröndenberg (GSF) how to move. Maren Krause loves Zumba, and the joy of working out this way transfers to the women before her. The fact that the sport is exhausting becomes clear when the music stops. She then grabs a bottle of water or a towel to wipe off your sweat.

The athletes in the Zumba class are visibly excited. As the course instructor, Maren Krause makes the sparks fly. At SV Bausenhagen she is not the only one: there are many courses, all run by committed people who enjoy the community in the club.

One of them is Kurt Dieckmann. He has been part of the SVB family for several decades, although he does not live in Fröndenberg but in Unna. He is currently looking for men who want to participate in his “Power Fitness for Men” course, which takes place every Wednesday from fall through spring from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at GSF Sports Hall 5. “After the fall break it starts again”, he asks him to participate.

Water course for men in planning.

A very special offer is about to start: the SVB still has free capacity in the Overberg School’s teaching pool on Tuesdays from 16:00 to 16:45. Then there will be an aquatic course for men with Birgit Scholz. “We hope that there are enough men who want to take advantage of this offer,” Kurt Dieckmann and Birgit Scholz make clear.

With its courses, SV Bausenhagen offers something for everyone who wants to stay fit, regardless of gender, age and physical condition. The focus is on having fun playing sports together. As an association, the SVB also offers its members to socialize, most recently, for example, at a barbecue on the sports ground at the Alm in Bausenhagen.

membership pays off

If you want to participate in the courses, you do not have to be a member of the association, but being a member has many advantages. “Especially people who participate in several courses save a lot of money,” says Kurt Dieckmann. Members are insured, but so are short-term members, ie all course participants. Short-term members do not join the association, but pay a higher course fee. So it’s no wonder that SV Bausenhagen’s amateur sports department has around 250 members, which is as many as the soccer and youth soccer departments.
