Consumers can save several hundred euros when switching car insurance, up to 843 euros. This is shown by CHECK24 example calculations for typical conductor profiles.1)

Novice drivers have the greatest savings potential of up to 47 percent. In the cheapest rate they pay 634 euros a year. On average, all CHECK24 fees cost €1,207 for this profile. Families with a child who is eligible to drive have the largest absolute savings. Calculations show that changing car insurance can save up to €843 a year, compared to the average premium.

Travelers save up to 30 percent on vehicle premiums by switching insurance. It’s also worth a new insurance rate for electric car drivers: The savings potential is up to 29 percent a year.

Existing customers: more than ten percent increase in premiums on existing contracts

Car owners can cancel their insurance until the November 30 deadline and benefit from better prices and services when switching. Due to the increase in insurance premiums for existing contracts, the change is especially worthwhile.
