Cultural change in nutrition takes off: Veganz cooperates with Eurowings

berlin (ots)

Veganz works with the German airline Eurowings. Starting in May 2022, passengers will be able to enjoy the environmentally friendly Veganz Gummy Bears on board more than 70 aircraft.

32 million Germans now eat at least flexitarian foods for reasons of climate protection and their own health. (1) You are aware that 30% of global CO2 emissions are caused by the production of food of animal origin. (two)

Together with Eurowings, Veganz now also meets the demand for organic food in the air. After cooperation with the German football club RB Leipzig, in whose stadium Veganz products can be found since the current Bundesliga season, and the food service expert Aramark, Veganz now provides consumers with greater access to food. vegan. Veganz is successfully driving cultural change in nutrition, because Eurowings currently operates on more than 210 routes, mainly in Europe, and as part of the Lufthansa Group it is one of the largest airlines in Germany.

Compared to most fruit gums, Veganz gummy bears contain no animal gelatin and have an excellent climate balance. Only 204g CO2 is emitted per pack and 1 liter of water is used for the gummy bears, which means they receive the maximum rating of three stars in all four Veganz Sustainability Score categories. In this way, they actively help reduce the ecological footprint of customers.

The internationalization of the Veganz brand is also advancing with the change in eating habits of Europeans. The brand is expanding listings with supermarket chains AB Basilopoulos, Market In, Slavesitis and Krhtikos in Greece. The expansion will be accompanied by the award-winning “Eat something for the weather”campaign to be played on TV and digitally at Easter. Followers of the Greek Orthodox Church traditionally fast before Easter and avoid most foods of animal origin. About 96% of the population of Greece belongs to the Greek Orthodox Church.

Veganz is spreading the word about the availability of climate friendly food in Europe so that everyone in the world can feed themselves in the future.
